Mindfulness In a Forest Setting – Wed 20 March 2019 – as Spring begins!
March 20 @ 10:30 am - 1:30 pm| £15.00 per head
These sessions are designed for anyone seeking to still that inner confusion, to gain peace, through the breath, focusing on the now whilst absorbed in a woodland setting – whatever adult age, whether you have no knowledge of Mindfulness practice at all or even if you feel you have too much, you can always learn something anew.
The overall aim is not to specifically lead you in pure meditation, although elements can be woven in, should consensus wish this. The outcome for you will be that as a learner you will have delved into new outdoor forest based mindful activities. These new themes may then be assimilated into your current mindful practice to further enhance your wellbeing. You will likewise, through being exposed to a forest setting, gain increased health benefits. Within the forest glades, you will deeply feel the therapeutic effects of being immersed in the positive airborne naturally occurring chemicals released from the wildwoods. These have been measured scientifically to prove that forest bathing, known in Japan as Shinrin-yoku will boost your immune systems. The session conclusion will simply expand your existing tool kit of mindful coping strategies, having opened for you the forest doors to Mindfulness In a Woodland Setting.
Going for a saunter along the forest trails, combining the natural environment about you with an array of activities and methods to instil Mindfulness is a wonderful way to let go of the burden of ‘me’ whilst putting your worldly problems in proportion.
So join me, to Mindfully walk, to explore your senses in the forest, to undertake some creative and art based dabblings, to understand the natural environment from plants to fauna, to conservation understanding, to leave with something you have made and so much more.
